AYOPP LC has completed several projects across Arizona, Tennessee, Kentucky, New Mexico and several other states. Our projects have ranged from the smallest single-family residential structure, to commercial developments and industrial projects.
John Ayoub, P.E., is AYOPP's President and Principal Engineer.
Mr. Ayoub is an accomplished Geotechnical Engineer whose career reflects a steadfast commitment to technical excellence, ethical practice, and principled leadership. Raised in Egypt in a household grounded in faith, integrity, and personal responsibility, Mr. Ayoub was instilled from an early age with values that continue to define both his character and his professional conduct. His parents prioritized education and moral discipline, enrolling him and his brother in one of the nation’s top academic institutions and emphasizing the enduring importance of honesty, loyalty, and selfless service.
With a natural aptitude for science, engineering, mathematics, and analytical problem-solving, Mr. Ayoub pursued an academic path marked by distinction and rigor. He began with an Associate Degree in Construction Management and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from San Francisco State University, graduating summa cum laude. He subsequently completed a Master’s degree in Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley—one of the foremost engineering institutions in the world.
It was during his university studies that Mr. Ayoub developed a strong interest in geotechnical engineering, drawn to the field’s intersection of theoretical complexity and practical application. His fascination with the behavior of soil and foundation systems evolved into a dedicated career in geotechnical design, analysis, and field engineering.
Currently serving with AECOM, a global leader in infrastructure and environmental services, Mr. Ayoub oversees critical geotechnical and environmental remediation projects, with a particular focus on coal combustion residual (CCR) management. His recent work at the Four Corners Power Plant in Arizona exemplifies his ability to balance technical rigor with operational pragmatism. He is known for upholding project specifications with uncompromising discipline, even in high-pressure environments where production speed often threatens to outpace quality and safety.
Mr. Ayoub brings an unwavering sense of responsibility to his role. He is highly regarded for his methodical approach, cost-conscious mindset, and his refusal to compromise the long-term integrity of a project for the sake of expediency. Clients and colleagues alike value his ability to find practical, economically sound solutions without sacrificing engineering standards or ethical considerations.
John embodies the ideals of classical engineering—where sound judgment, technical mastery, and moral clarity form the foundation of every successful project. His work is not merely transactional, but transformational—driven by the belief that true professionalism is demonstrated not just in what one delivers, but in how one delivers it.
Mr. Ayoub is a licensed professional engineer in Arizona, Kentucky, New Mexico and Texas.
